Our monthly dance is “Blue Zone” living in a war zone world. Each month we connect with neighbors, move our bodies, share a community meal and promote health and well being. Every third Saturday at 5:30. Check our Facebook page for location. Our dances are 0 to 5 dollars, pay what you can. They are also sober, queer, family, and melanated friendly.

Our overall style is generally more focused on the ripe fruit flavors that can be coaxed from grape varieties that thrive in the Shawnee Hills AVA like Chambourcin, Chardonel, and Viognier. From April through November, the Farmer’s Market of Carbondale is open every Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm – rain or shine – at the Westowne Shopping Centre on Carbondale’s west side. The Carbondale Farmer’s Market has been providing fresh, seasonal fruits, vegetables and meats to Southern Illinois for 42 years. We also have a great selection of baked goods, cultivated mushrooms, pastured eggs, pickled products, salsas, honey and cheese. Our market is a diverse mix of multi-generational family farms, ecological growers, artists and craftspeople who are committed to bringing the best local food and arts to the market every week during the season.
